Managing Director and partner in SDMV, a digital agency which worked with 50+ of the top FMCG/CPG brands in the UK. SDMV specialised in creatively optimising manufacturer’s digital and social marketing communications to drive engagement as well as on and offline sales.
I was responsible for overseeing a sizeable team of account managers, developers and freelance individuals who handled a wide range of activities, from social communications right though to loyalty and retention. I took personal responsibility for a large number of accounts and where I was not directly involved, ensuring I always had a holistic view of each client’s strategies.
In this role I successfully negotiated with some of the world’s largest retailers including Walmart and Tesco; advertisers such as PepsiCo, Kelloggs, Unilever and P&G, agencies such as Starcomm Mediavest, Omnicom Group, Publicis, Zenith, Aegis, WPP and their subsidiaries, as well as platforms such as Facebook, Blinkbox, Twitter, Dunnhumby and Amia.
I steered SDMV from start-up to profitability and onwards through acquisition where Slingshot was bought by Symphony Technology Group, a $3billion Palo Alto technology fund in 2013. I had full responsibility for the company, it’s performance, financial obligations and budgets.
